Digital, AI & telehealth advisory · Perth, WA

We build the quiet machinery behind great clinics.

AI that answers the phone. Tools shaped around your workflows. Telehealth that runs like clockwork. We help established practices and first-time healthcare founders build businesses where the technology quietly works, and patients feel the difference.

How we help new ventures

(Our approach)

Most clinics don't need more software. They need the right systems, set up properly, around the way they already work so the business behind the care is as strong as the care itself.

Prax Health Advisory is a hands-on consultancy for healthcare businesses. We listen first, design around your team, then build and support what we recommend.

Nothing is off the shelf. Every tool, workflow and telehealth model is fully customised to your clinic, your patients and your numbers, with a scope we agree together and plain-English advice throughout.

  • HumanTechnology that gives time back to patients and staff.
  • GrowthSystems that scale with you, not against you.

(Evidence)

Efficiency and safety aren't a trade-off.

We build on published research, not hype. These are the findings that shape our work, and the guardrails we never trade away.

AThe pressure on practices

7in10

Australian GPs report burnout, and most are dissatisfied with their administrative burden.1

70%

of GPs are concerned about their admin workload, up from 60% just a year earlier.2

BTelehealth, done properly

22%

of GP consultations in Australia were delivered by telehealth in 2022, part of more than 45 million telehealth consultations nationally.3

10trials

Across 10 randomised trials, telehealth showed no difference from face-to-face care in emergency department visits, hospital admissions, deaths or other adverse events.3

CSmall changes, real capacity

+14%

more patients attend when they get an SMS reminder (77% versus 68%), at a lower cost per attendance than phone-call reminders.4

16min

less documentation per eight hours of patient care for clinicians using an ambient AI scribe, across 8,581 clinicians in five health systems.5

The study measured time, not safety, which is why we always pair AI scribes with clinician review.

For years I've seen poor customer experiences and design impact the patient journey. Everyday health consumers have amazing experiences in other sectors, so why not in health?

Hasan is a healthcare strategist and digital health leader, and an Associate Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management. Trained in medical science and health administration, with formal grounding in digital health and IT service management, Hasan makes sure every recommendation is clinically sound, works on a busy Monday morning, and runs on technology that holds up.

Over more than a decade, Hasan has led health organisations through technology adoption, clinical operations redesign and practice optimisation. The common thread is the patient: good design and good operations should make care easier to reach and better to experience.

(Questions)

Straight answers.

The questions clinic owners and first-time founders ask us most.

What does a healthcare AI and digital consultant do?

We find where technology will genuinely save your clinic time, then design, build and support it. That might be an AI receptionist, automated recalls and reminders, a custom intake or referral tool, a new website or a telehealth service. Every recommendation is tailored to how your practice already works.

Is it safe to use AI in a medical practice?

It can be, with the right guardrails. Ahpra's guidance is clear that practitioners stay responsible for care, must check anything AI writes into a record, and generally need a patient's informed consent when an AI tool uses their personal information. We design every tool so clinicians make the clinical decisions and anything urgent always reaches a person.

Is telehealth as safe as seeing a clinician in person?

For many consultations, the evidence is reassuring. A 2025 review of 10 randomised trials found no difference between telehealth and face-to-face care in emergency department visits, hospital admissions, deaths or other adverse events. Telehealth still isn't right for every situation, so a well-run service has clear rules for when patients need to be seen in person.

Can I start a healthcare business without a healthcare background?

Yes. Plenty of Australian clinics and telehealth services are owned and run by people who aren't clinicians. The key is setting it up properly: registered practitioners delivering care, sound clinical governance, compliance with Medicare, Ahpra advertising and privacy rules, and systems patients can trust. That's the gap we help you close.

Do you work with clinics outside Perth?

Yes. We're based in Perth and work in person across Western Australia. Digital, AI and telehealth projects can be delivered remotely wherever you are.

Are you tied to any software vendors?

No. We're vendor-agnostic. We get clear on exactly what needs to be built before any vendor is engaged, so every tool is chosen on merit and fits what you actually need.

How do engagements work?

It starts with a 30-minute discovery call, with no obligation. Most work is then a project with a scope we agree together up front. For practices that want ongoing help, we also offer a monthly retainer for operational support.
